Xiaomi has just lifted the veil on Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 5G, Redmi Note 10S and Redmi Note 10 Pro. This new generation of mid-range smartphones stands out thanks to 120 Hz or 90 Hz AMOLED screens, Qualcomm chips, impressive batteries with 33W fast charging and cameras made up of several sensors, including a 108 megapixel module. We take stock of everything you need to know.
As expected, Xiaomi presented the Redmi Note 10 in a presentation organized for the international market. In Europe, the manufacturer declines the range in four models : the Redmi Note 10, the Redmi Note 10 5G, the Redmi Note 10S and the Redmi Note 10 Pro . In India, Xiaomi also offers an even more premium Redmi Note 10 Pro Max . This model has not been announced for Europe. On the other hand, the Note 10 Pro resumes its characteristics, such as the main 108 megapixel sensor.
On the design side, the range does not revolutionize the genre. On smartphones, there is a screen found surrounded by thin borders. As always, the lower border (the famous chin) is thicker. On the back, Xiaomi has all the sensors in a rounded block. Not surprisingly, smartphones have very different data sheets. More affordable, the standard model ignores several features built into the Redmi Note 10 Pro .
The Redmi Note 10 and Note 10S
The Redmi Note 10 and 10S models are very similar on their technical sheet. They both feature a 6.43-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Like the Pro, they are available in three colors and have a fingerprint sensor on the side. Regarding the photo, we have modules with four sensors: a wide angle of 8 megapixels, a macro and a depth sensor of 2 megapixels and above all a main sensor of 64 megapixels which promises a lot for the 10S and 48 megapixels for the 10 .
Both phones have 64 or 128 GB of memory and a 5000 mAh battery with fast charging at 33 Watts. To see a difference between the two products, you have to look at the photo, but especially the processor. The Redmi Note 10 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 while the 10S version offers a slightly more powerful MediaTek Helio G95.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro
The Redmi Note 10 Pro is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen in Full HD + with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which allows for greater fluidity on the screen for optimal visual comfort. Inside we find a modest but sufficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor, as well as a 5020 mAh battery. It is compatible with 33 Watts fast charging.
The Redmi Note 10 5G, the only 5G smartphone in the range
Finally, the latest smartphone in the range is the Redmi Note 10 5G. As its name suggests, it is compatible with new 5G networks thanks to its MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. But this is not the only difference with the other models.
It has a 6.5-inch Full HD + LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It has a 5000 mAh battery (with 18 Watts fast charge) and 64 or 128 GB of memory . On the photo side, we have three sensors, including a main one of 48 megapixels.
On the software side, smartphones run on MIUI 12 , an Android interface based on Android 11. In the coming months, Xiaomi will deploy the MIUI 12.5 update, a new version of the overlay, on the Redmi Note 10.
RELEASE DATE AND PRICE
The Redmi Note 10 will be sold for € 199.90 in France. Xiaomi has not yet disclosed the price list or the release date of the other smartphones in the Redmi Note 10 range. The Chinese firm has undertaken to tell us more from March 16, 2021 on availability and prices in France.
