Squeezie, the famous French Youtubeur with 16 million subscribers, has just seen his account suspended for copyright infringement. The copyright infringement complaint relates to a video dedicated to platterists published in 2018.
It just goes to show that, despite being one of the most popular and influential Youtubers in France, the rules are the same for all users. Lucas Hauchard, alias Squeezie, had the bitter experience, as he just announced on Instagram. Indeed, YouTube has decided to suspend the videographer’s account for a week, for copyright infringement on a video published in 2018.
The video in question, which has more than 9 million views, focused on various conspiracy theories, including the Platists, this famous community that believes the Earth is flat. “ A video from 2018 that takes a strike, banned from uploading for 7 days,” Squeezie wrote on his Instagram account.
Due to this sanction, the Youtubeur is unable to publish content or organize lives on his main channel . Still, the videographer will continue to offer content on Twitch and on his secondary channel on YouTube. “ Sorry to have disappointed you, I will not do it again, I am in full question”, assured Squeezie in an Instagram story unavailable since.
