Google has decided to take steps to ensure access to the best possible information. In fact, the American giant now intends to display a warning when the results of a search are likely to be unreliable.
After having resolved the failure of which Google Search was victim on Android a few days ago, the Mountain View firm has just announced a new feature to come to its search engine. In this age of fake news, manipulation and instantaneousness, it is essential to guarantee access to the most relevant and reliable information possible.
And precisely, when we seek information on a particular subject, most of us have the reflex to rely on Google. Only, and as Google points out in a blog post, “ Sometimes the reliable information you are looking for is not yet online. This can be especially true for breaking news or emerging topics, when the information published first is not necessarily the most reliable ”.
In fact, Google has trained its systems to detect topics that move too quickly and lack a variety of sources. In these specific cases, a warning will be displayed , suggesting that users return to fishing for the news later, especially when other sources have contributed on the subject in question.
